Dolce & Gabbana: Pyjama party on Viale Piave

The thing about Dolce & Gabbana is that when they like an idea, they really get their teeth into it—like this Saturday, when they staged the greatest pyjama party in fashion history. Stripes, stripes and more stripes, leading to a finale where two score of hirsute male models marched out in pajama pants, blazers, shorts and suits—all maxi decorated with crystal, jet and strass. 'Light, light, everything just light. Welcome to summer!' enthused Stefano Gabbana backstage after a show staged on the day of the summer solstice. Presented in their show space on Viale Piave, the set featured an all-white proscenium—the better to highlight the pyjamas. The mood juxtaposed with the dramatic soundtrack—a mashup of Ludwig van Beethoven's greatest hits, all the way to death knocking on the door symbolically in Beethoven's Symphony No. 5. With White Lotus star Theo James and Emily in Paris heartthrob Lucien Laviscount sitting front row, the show kicked off. Starting with some great crinkly suits—pyjama stripes piped and cut into massively wide pants, cool jammies and loose jackets. Low-slung pants—the better to see big yellow and green boxers underneath. Made in a palette of pink, baby blue, café au lait—they all exuded optimism. Looks destined for a beachside dance or cocktail hour and not the bedroom. Gradually, the duo injected more tailoring—with wide-lapel chalk-stripe gangster jackets paired with polka dot shirts and graphic ties. When the evening turned chilly, they proposed all manner of animal print looks: from tiger print dressing gowns in faux fur to cheetah pony skin dusters. Leading to the pyjama party finale, when the entire cast marched out of the show space and along Viale Piave to immense cheers from a couple of thousand fans outside. The show comes at a pivotal moment for the house, which recently tapped into €150 million in financing to bankroll investment in beauty and real estate. And, one couldn't help noticing, Dolce & Gabbana show invitations arriving in Milan hotels this week came with a bottle of their latest cologne.

The former Love Island star, 31, has been working hard on her diet and fitness in recent years and has gone from 97kg (15st) to 61kg (9.6st). The influencer embarked on her weight loss journey following the birth of her daughter, Lucia, in 2023. In her latest post, Shaughna shared a photo of herself in white lingerie alongside another taken 14 months later after losing the weight. Alongside the post, she wrote: 'Let the record reflect, although I've dropped a few dress sizes, I will ALWAYS love a high waisted full brief.' The star was inundated with messages from followers who wrote: 'Well done'... 'You look happy with your new body that's all that matters lovely'... 'Well done you look amazing. Determined to be the strongest version of herself for her little one, she ditched old habits in favour of a disciplined meal plan and quick-fire boxing-inspired workouts. It comes after Shaughna, who was told previously she was clinically obsese, showed off her figure in a white bikini as she shared before and after shots of her weight loss. She posted three side-by-side pictures of herself on her weight loss journey - on day one, nine months in and just over a year later. She wrote over the top of it: 'This is me on day one fronting it out, showing sass I didn't feel.' The video then skipped to her at the end of her weight loss journey as she wore a similar bikini, showing off her weight loss. She added: 'Just hoping I'd get to here one day and still kinda shook that did.' The Love Island star has dropped five dress sizes after starting on her fitness and diet plan and is now a healthier nine stone 10lbs. Shaughna recently addressed claims she's used Ozempic to slim down, after stunning fans with her weight loss. She was hit by accusations that she used the drug Ozempic, which was previously used to treat diabetes but in recent years has been used by stars as an appetite suppressant. But the star has hit back at the claims, telling The Mirror: 'I love food way too much.' She went on to add: 'There's a new fad every other year. It just so happens that this is the fad this time around, and after I have lost weight. 'The thing is, it just coincided with the time when I had my daughter Lucia, and I had this baby weight, and everyone was commenting on it. 'Had it of been a few years prior, everyone would have been saying I had a BBL, or some magical liposuction that completely transformed how I looked.' Shaughna went on to add that she is 'terrified' by the prospect of the side effects of using Ozempic.

Julia Bradbury, 53, takes a 'healing' dip in the ocean as she discusses the importance of finding purpose while battling cancer in emotional post

Julia Bradbury has opened up on how healing emotionally can be crucial during a battle against cancer. The Countryfile presenter, 53, was diagnosed with breast cancer in September 2021 before undergoing a mastectomy to have her 6cm tumour removed. Julia has been candid about how cancer changed her as a person, saying that the disease actually 'saved her life' after she became 'stressed all the time' due to work. On Saturday, the mother-of-three has now taken to her Instagram to detail how emotions can affect your health as she discussed the toll of the disease. Sharing a video of herself enjoying a wetsuit-clad cold dip in the ocean, Julia spoke about the importance of having a purpose while fighting the disease. She wrote: 'What if one of the most powerful parts of your healing… isn't 'medical', it's emotional. And it's inside you. 'In the journey through cancer I've met some incredible people & learnt a lot about a whole person approach to recovery and healing. 'Yesterday at @ipmcongress (a conference all about a personalised approach to health and treatments) I interviewed @joembracingnutrition about her approach to cancer patients. 'She calls it a 360 approach and it includes monitoring bloods, testing, targeted treatment of the cancer itself (working alongside an oncologist) but very importantly it addresses emotional issues too. 'We all have them. And most of us lead stressful lives (phones/emails/work pressures/family commitments/travel to work/shift work/lack of sleep!).' She went on to discuss the characteristics of cancer patients who manage to survive the disease 'against all the odds'. Julia continued: 'A strong reason for living — maybe it's your children, a dream not yet lived, or the simple joy of a sunrise. 'Releasing old, suppressed emotions — letting go of pain you've held for too long. 'Promoting positive emotions — finding joy, laughter, even in dark places. Sharing a video of herself enjoying a wetsuit-clad cold dip in the ocean, Julia spoke about the importance of having a purpose while fighting the disease 'I try not to forget the importance of emotions when it comes to health. It takes work and it can be uncomfortable to explore.. but healing isn't just what's done to you… it's what awakens inside you too.' Julia has been open about her experience with cancer since her 2021 diagnosis. Just a matter of weeks ago, she proudly shared her surgery scars which remain following her mastectomy. Coupled with a close up shot of her lower breast, the journalist called the scars a sign of 'resilience'. 'Just like those vessels, our scars - emotional or physical - are not flaws to be concealed,' she shared. They are stories of resilience, growth and transformation. Each mark is a testament to our journey and strength,' she wrote. Julia also candidly spoke about the moment she told her husband, Gerard Cunningham, that she had cancer around four years ago. Appearing on Davina McCall's Begin Again podcast, she said: 'I told him, and we cried. And I said, 'I'll do whatever I have to do to get through this. I will do whatever it is'.' Determined to fight, she expressed her readiness to face any challenge that may pop up ahead. 'If I have to lose a breast, I'll have to lose my hair. If I have to go, whatever it is I need to do,' she said. 'I'm going to do what I need to do to get through this.' Julia said fighting cancer is not the same for everyone. She explained: 'Every type of cancer is different. Every type of breast cancer is different. 'You'll have a friend who's gone through breast cancer, and she and I will sit down and have a story, and we'll have had a different tumour in a different place, and it will behave differently. 'It's very complicated. And that's the reason why the war on cancer hasn't been won yet.' Julia shares her son Zephyr, 13, and her twin girls, Xanthe and Zena, eight, with her property developer husband, Gerard. In 2023, she spoke about her determination to 'stay alive' two years on from her breast cancer diagnosis. The journalist and TV presenter had the tumour, two lymph glands and her left breast removed before having reconstruction surgery. Julia has since revealed how her diagnosis changed her life, leading her to adopt a much healthier diet and go teetotal as she declared she will do everything possible to see her children grow up.
